All-New Details on the Next Entry in the Mainline SNIPER ELITE Series Will Be Revealed in 2020

Rebellion Developments is one busy studio, but it sounds like the works on the next mainline entry in the long-running Sniper Elite series are proceeding according to the plan, with all-new details on the project being revealed later this year.

The information was recently shared on Twitter by Rebellion's PR Executive Sadie Flayeh, alongside an official confirmation that Sniper Elite VR — developed in partnership with Oddworld studio Just Add Water — will hit stores at some point in 2020.

The aforementioned sequel to 2017's Sniper Elite 4 was first announced last March, so it's clear that the team at Rebellion has been developing the title for quite some time now — and the fact that Sony and Microsoft's next-gen consoles will also launch later this year suggests that SEV might actually be a cross-gen product.

Additionally, Rebellion's self-published Evil Genius 2: World Domination is still on track for a 2020 release.

In the meantime, the Oxford-based developer is set and ready to launch Zombie Army 4: Dead War, the main series spin-off featuring a horde of Nazi zombies to kill — also playable in 4-player co-op. Take a look:

Hitler’s hordes are back for more in this spine-chilling shooter from the makers of Sniper Elite 4! Abominable occult enemies, epic weapons and a harrowing new campaign for 1-4 players await in 1940s Europe, as you fight to save humankind from undead Armageddon!

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via the EGS) on February 4, 2020.
