A Bunch of Strikingly Beautiful NIOH 2 Screenshots Have Been Shared Online by Team Ninja

The first NiOh was not only an excellent production gameplay-wise, but also a title that successfully managed to capture the magic of old Japanese tales on-screen — and it looks like the highly anticipated sequel will set the bar even higher.

NiOh 2 won't come out until March 13, but we've just learned a whole lot more about Team Ninja's Souls-like extravaganza. According to the studio, eve more information on the game will be revealed every week on its way to store shelves.

This week's drop of content was focused mostly on a brand-new character, the fearless leader of the Saika clan — Magoichi Saika. The Saika generally are mercenaries, specialising in bombs, grenades and other weapons that contain the fundamental ingredient of gunpowder.

Considering that almost every major 2020 video game has been pushed back by at least several months, NiOh 2 and id Software's DOOM: Eternal remain the only two big-budget titles that will still launch in March.

Be sure to take a look at the beautiful world of NiOh 2 and aforementioned Magoichi Saika down below:

Master the art of the samurai in this brutal masocore RPG… for death is coming. Journey to 1555 Japan, a country gripped in endless warfare where monsters and evil spirits stalk a land of natural beauty and menacing peril. Hunt down your enemies as a rogue mercenary wielding the supernatural powers of the mythical Yokai. Can you survive the treacherous Sengoku era and the new and terrifying Dark Realm?

Nioh 2 is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 on March 13, 2020.
