Reimagined Illidan and Arthas Are the Main Stars of New WARCRAFT III: REFORGED Artwork
While it seems like almost every major video game on the planet is being pushed back or straight cancelled, the hard-working team at Blizzard doesn't skip a beat and is still on course to release WarCraft III: Reforged next Wednesday.
As you may know, WarCraft III: Reforged is not simply a remastered version of 2002's WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos and 2003's WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne, but rather a complete reimagining of the cult-classic titles, created completely from scratch to give you the unique chance to replay the beloved RTS the way you remembered it.
To show you the leap between the original and the upcoming remake in terms of graphics, Blizzard has released a bunch of never-before-seen images, featuring the old and Reforged units of the Undead and the Night Elves — two of the four playable factions in WarCraft III — as more details on the Orcs and Humans should be revealed in the next few days.
Although the main assets of the game have been upgraded to modern standards, the bad news is that Blizzard ultimately decided on keeping the cinematics the way they are — so chances are that the fight between Illidan Stormrage and Arthas Menethil will disappoint fans of the series once again with a short and anticlimactic in-engine cutscene.
