Latest WARCRAFT III: REFORGED Images Spotlight Old & Remastered Units of the Orc & Human Armies
Time flies, as WarCraft III: Reforged — which was officially announced at BlizzCon 2018 — will be released this Wednesday, and there's no better way to prepare for the game's debut than taking a look at the remastered units of the Orc & Human armies.
Blizzard recently showcased the differences between the old and new Undead and Night Elves creatures — as the aforementioned four factions will return soon to shape the future of Azeroth once and for all.
The Human army, represented in-game by The Alliance of Lordaeron, is all about "facing its enemies clad in imposing armour and armed with sharp steel." According to Blizzard, the Reforged team "took inspiration from many sources to capture the human spirit and tenacity, including cinematic trailers, original and new concept art, and more."
When it comes to the Orcs, they simply believe that the best defence is a good offence, dressing "in simple furs and spiky hide armour." "Our artists take the epic quest to add to the hallowed pantheon of Orc heroes as a sacred one,” Lead Producer Pete Stilwell said. “The challenge is to do justice to millions of players who know every tusk, whisker, and wrinkle on their faces.”
Although the story of WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos and WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne was focused mostly on the desperate struggle for power between the four main races, let's not forget that the vicious Naga also played a key role in the threequel's plotline, especially in the base game's critically acclaimed expansion.
