Nintendo Switch Version of DEVIL MAY CRY 3: SPECIAL EDITION Will Allow You Switch Weapons on the Fly

As promised two weeks ago, Capcom has revealed new details on yet another exclusive feature that will make its debut in the upcoming Nintendo Switch version of Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition — switching weapons on the fly.

Given that the standard version of 2005's classic gives the player a true plethora of tools of destruction — including the hero's Devil Arm and Ebony & Ivory guns and Vergil's Nelo Angelo's Greatsword and Yamato katana — the ability to instantly swap between any of them will definitely come in handy, especially if you're interested in getting better style ranks.

In the original Devil May Cry 3, you could switch between two melee and two ranged weapons each, but the Switch port of the game's Special Edition will feature a radial menu allowing you to choose everything you want — whenever you want — instead.

The ability to switch weapons is not the only brand-new bonus that will be available in-game, as Capcom has already announced that Devil May Cry 3 on Switch will see a completely redone style system and a special free mode.

With two big surprises revealed by Capcom, the last Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition upgrade, which will be available only for Switch, will be showcased on February 13, 2020 — as the game will launch a week later.

Dante's past is now revealed as Devil May Cry returns to its roots. Master Dante's multiple fighting styles while battling never before seen demons and new characters as you fight your way towards a brutal confrontation with Dante's mysterious twin brother, Vergil.

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC (via Steam); coming to Nintendo Switch of the 20th of February.
