PlatinumGames' THE WONDERFUL 101: REMASTERED Is Coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC

After a successful Kickstarter campaign — it took players only 20 minutes to hit PlatinumGames' main goals — The Wonderful 101 won't be a Wii U exclusive anymore, as the acclaimed hack-and-slash game is on the way to the Switch, PS4, and PC.
While the Japanese developer needed "only" $49.890 to be able to produce the Nintendo Switch version of the game, the current round of crowdfunding will also allow the developer to make the PC and PlayStation 4 editions — as fans have already pledged more than $1.125.209 to make it happen.
Actually, it seems that Xbox One users will also have the chance to check out The Wonderful 101: Remastered. Although nothing has been officially confirmed just yet, the original report on the Kickstarter campaign did mention that Xbox One port was a possibility, and even the team at PlatinumGames is seemingly teasing it on the game's Kickstarter page.
"There are a lot of exciting additions we’d like to make for The Wonderful 101: Remastered, but support from players and fans is vital in making this happen. With your help, we can create these brand new additions to make The Wonderful 101: Remastered the definitive release you all deserve, and bring it to more platforms so everyone can enjoy. And of course, all additional content funded through stretch goals will be made available to backers for free!," the studio said.
The reveal of The Wonderful 101: Remastered is only one of the four big announcements PlatinumGames has in store — as the studio is working on Babylon's Fall, Bayonetta 3 and possibly a sequel to NieR: Automata.
While PlatinumGames will self-publish The Wonderful 101: Remastered, the studio recently accepted a major investment from Tencent, one of the biggest tech and gaming companies in China, so the crowdfunding campaign for The Wonderful 101 may actually be a smart marketing trick rather than an actual need.
First published by Nintendo in 2013, The Wonderful 101 received generally positive reviews, with critics praising its entertaining gameplay mechanics, unique characters and colourful universe all across the board.
