Netflix's RESIDENT EVIL Show Might Focus on the T-Virus Outbreak and a Mysterious Asylum

While we still know next to nothing about Netflix's long-awaited Resident Evil TV series, the Amercian streaming giant may have accidentally revealed some fascinating details on the upcoming show based on Capcom's hit franchise.

Netflix recently updated its site, giving us our first chance to learn more about the show heavily inspired by Resident Evil. The now-deleted plot description for Netflix's small-screen Resident Evil reads as follows:

"The town of Clearfield, MD has long stood in the shadow of three seemingly unrelated behemoths – the Umbrella Corporation, the decommissioned Greenwood Asylum, and Washington, DC. Today, twenty-six years after the discovery of the T-Virus, secrets held by the three will start to be revealed at the first signs of outbreak."

Said synopsis suggests that Resident Evil will be a retelling of the first games' story of some sorts, with a big chunk of the main (possibly animated) plot taking place in the fictional town of Clearfield, Maryland.

According to recent reports, the first season of Netflix's Resident Evil will consist of 8 one-hour episodes.
