KILLING EVE's Kim Bodnia Will Play Vesemir, the Most Experienced Witcher in Season 2 of Netflix's Series

Danish actor Kim Bodnia has officially joined the cast of Netflix's The Witcher, as the Killing Eve star will portray Vesemir — the Continent's oldest and most experienced Witcher — in the second season of the streaming juggernaut.

As revealed by Netflix, the anti-hero is a "charming relic of the witcher Golden Age" and "the oldest and most experienced witcher in our series," who's also "fiercely protective of the remaining few, whom he sees as an endangered community who can find glory on 'the Path' slaying monsters."

Bodnia's Vesemir is not the only new character who will debut soon in The Witcher, as the cast has expanded rapidly with the inclusion of Yasen Atour's Coen, Agnes Bjorn's Vereena, Paul Bullion's Lambert, Kristofer Hivju's Nivellen, Thue Ersted Rasmussen's Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross' Lydia, and Mecia Simson's Francesca.

As a reminder, Vesemir will also get his own Netflix animated movie, titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. According to Netflix, the upcoming Studio Mir–created show will focus on the hero, as he "begins his own journey as a witcher after the mysterious Deglan claims him through the Law of Surprise."

It's not clear if Bodnia will lend his voice talents to Vesemir in Netflix's The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.
