After months of waiting, NiOh 2 is almost here, as Sony has released a never-before-seen gameplay trailer for the long-awaited sequel; also giving you the unique chance to play the PlayStation 4-exclusive game ahead of its big debut.
The so-called NiOh 2 Last Chance Trial — consisting of three missions — is live on PlayStation Store now through March 1, and what's even better, you don't even need a PlayStation Plus membership to play it.
Check out the demo's overview:
- Discover a new combat system, weapons and skills as you charge into the devastating real-life Battle of Mount Tennō in a brutally savage, action-packed level.
- Experiment with the in-depth character creator to stylise your own samurai, who can then be carried over to the full game.
- Survive the battle and earn The Mark of the Demon Slayer – a reward entitling you to unlock the Kamaitachi Helmet from the in-game Shrine to use in the full game.
There's no denying that NiOH 2 is a rather difficult video game, but Team Ninja Producer Fumihiko Yasuda is here to help new players, giving the community some useful tips for surviving the Mount Tenno stage in a new video that you can watch down below. The mission ends with a challenging fight with Ryomen Sukuna — a powerful fire and water–wielding half-demon — so Yasuda's words of advice are definitely welcome.
With NiOh 2 releasing in March, be sure to take a look at the new trailer for Team Ninja's game right now:
Master the art of the samurai in this brutal masocore RPG… for death is coming. Journey to 1555 Japan, a country gripped in endless warfare where monsters and evil spirits stalk a land of natural beauty and menacing peril. Hunt down your enemies as a rogue mercenary wielding the supernatural powers of the mythical Yokai. Can you survive the treacherous Sengoku era and the new and terrifying Dark Realm?
Nioh 2 is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 on March 13, 2020.
