Microsoft Suggests That HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED ANNIVERSARY on PC Will Get a Release Date This Week

Microsoft has released an unexpected teaser trailer for the long-awaited PC port of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, suggesting that 2011's remake of the first entry in the Halo series will be available on Steam sooner rather than later.

While nothing has been confirmed by Microsoft, 343 Industries, or Splash Damage, the "Unseal the Hushed Casket" video indicates that the studios are getting ready to unveil some new details on the game's PC port.

What's even more interesting, a new store page listing has suddenly appeared on the Microsoft Store, which basically means that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary on PC is "so close we can almost taste it."

As a reminder, Combat Evolved Anniversary is included in the Master Chief Collection, which also gives players the chance to re-experience Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST Campaign, Halo: Reach, and finally Halo 4. According to Microsoft, each title will be optimised for PC with mouse and keyboard support.

Without further ado, take a look at the teaser trailer for Combat Evolved Anniversary on PC down below:

Combat Evolved Anniversary is a spectacularly remastered version of the original “Halo” campaign, created in celebration of the 10th anniversary of one of the most beloved franchises in gaming history. Experience the first chapter in the Master Chief’s epic saga and discover an ancient super weapon, the Halo ring.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is currently available for Xbox 360 & Xbox One; coming to PC at a later date.
