Valve's HALF-LIFE: ALYX Shines in Over 15 Minutes of Never-Before-Seen Gameplay Footage

Just like in 1998, nothing stops this train, as Valve's long-awaited return to the Half-Life series is finally hitting stores later this month — and if you can't wait to play it, here's over 15 minutes of brand-new gameplay footage from the VR-exclusive video game.

Thanks to IGN and the developer itself, we can take a closer look at the core mechanics of Half-Life: Alyx in multiple videos that should make the wait a little easier — as Alyx will be released worldwide on March 23.

Half-Life: Alyx is an interquel, set between the main events of the original game and 2004's Half-Life 2.

Considering that Alyx is being developed by a team of around 80 people, the upcoming video game should make fans of the franchise more than happy, as Valve is clearly taking virtual reality quite seriously.

Without further ado, immerse yourself in the dangerous world of Valve's Half-Life: Alyx down below:

Half-Life: Alyx is Valve’s VR return to the Half-Life series. It’s the story of an impossible fight against a vicious alien race known as the Combine, set between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2. Playing as Alyx Vance, you are humanity’s only chance for survival. The Combine’s control of the planet since the Black Mesa incident has only strengthened as they corral the remaining population in cities. Among them are some of Earth’s greatest scientists: you and your father, Dr. Eli Vance.

Half-Life: Alyx releases on March 23, 2020; compatible with the Valve Index, HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality and Oculus Rift headsets.
