THE LAST OF US PART II: Check out the Truly Outstanding Artwork for the European Steelbook

After the successful launch of Media Molecule's Dreams, Team Ninja's NiOh 2, Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII: Remake and Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II are the next three PS4-exclusive titles that will be released in the near future.

Although Naughty Dog's sequel to the first game still is quite a mysterious production, we recently had the chance to take a look at not one, but two covers of Dark Horse's The Art of The Last of Us Part II book.

As a reminder, The Art of The Last of Us Part II will hit stores shortly after the game's launch, on June 16.

Today, we can check out the cover art for the European edition of the game's custom steelbook case — which will be an integral part of The Last Of Us Part II - Collector Edition — thanks to Redditor felixmontoya.

As expected, said art puts the spotlight on Ellie and Joel, the main stars of the original game. While the upcoming sequel will focus mostly on the young anti-hero's journey, there's no denying that her old friend will play a key role in the title's brutal story — even if he won't be a playable character this time around.

Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors.

The Last of Us Part II is coming to PlayStation 4 on May 29, 2020.
