Avalanche Software and Warner Bros.' Next-Gen HARRY POTTER Game May Be Unveiled Soon

The fact that Avalanche Software — the Salt Lake City–based developer that gave us Disney Infinity — is working on a new Harry Potter game has never been a well-kept secret, and it looks like the title will be finally showcased in the near future.

Rumor has it that the long-awaited game — allegedly titled Harry Potter: Magic Awakened — is a next-gen project, but the team at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is already getting ready to announce it.

A brand-new job listing has been spotted on the official WarnerMedia website, and it's strongly suggesting that Avalanche's next big thing will be unveiled in the coming weeks. According to said listing, "Avalanche Software, a WB Games studio, seeks a Lighting Technical Artist to work closely with a talented group of artists and engineers on an exciting, soon to be announced AAA title."

The aforementioned job listing also confirms that the production will be powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 4.

As revealed in Eurogamer's original report on Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, the upcoming video game will be set in the 19th century, with a fifth year student joining Hogwarts to master his fantastic magic abilities.

Reportedly, players will be able to choose from eight different character classes and either act good or evil.
