Ubisoft Revisits Ezio's Final Adventure in Special ASSASSIN'S CREED: REVELATIONS Retrospective

Released by Ubisoft in November 2011, Assassin's Creed: Revelations served as the final chapter in the so-called Ezio trilogy, allowing the player to embark on a mission to restore the Assassin order in Ottoman-controlled Constantinople.

In the fourth "facts behind the fiction" video for the Assassin's Creed franchise (you can learn more about the "real" story of AC: Brotherhood in this article), Ubisoft sheds new light on the beautiful city "transformed from a pagan Greek city-state, to a Christian Byzantine capital, to a Muslim Ottoman metropolis."

Assassin's Creed: Revelations may not be the best-reviewed entry in the long-running series, but there's no denying that the digital recreation of Constantinople still is one of the open-world series' biggest highlights.

During Ezio's final journey, the player has the chance to interact with several real-world figures, including Manuel Palaeologos and Prince Suleiman, Niccolò Polo. If you're not a history buff, but enjoy good music (and who doesn't), it's also hard to argue with the fact the game's theme song — composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible - Fallout) — is one of the most touching pieces of music in the industry's history.

Without further ado, take a look at the official Assassin’s Creed: Revelations retrospective down below:

When a man has won all his battles and defeated his enemies; what is left for him to achieve? Ezio Auditore must leave his life behind in search of answers, In search of the truth. In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of the legendary mentor Altair, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is currently available for PlayStation 3 & 4, Xbox 360 & One, and PC (via Steam and Uplay).
