Dutch Attacker Iana and Jordanian Defender Oryx are the main stars of the latest Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege expansion — titled Operation Void Edge — and if you want to learn more about the deadly duo, a new trailer is available now.
Said video gives us a special behind-the-scenes look at Operation Void Edge from the team at Ubisoft Montreal. Given that the recent content drop for Siege introduced players not only to the new playable characters, but also a reworked map — Oregon — there's a lot to dig into, at least for fans of the shooter.
When it comes to the map — which debuted in the game back in 2015 — "the rework was designed to refresh the layout and create more strategic opportunities for attacking and defending bomb sites."
In case you're unfamiliar with the duo, Iana is a sneaky trickster, who possesses the ability to create a perfect hologram of herself, while Oryx is one of the strongest operators in the game. The Jordanian soldier is powerful enough to pierce through walls, but he also loses health every time his dash is used for breaching.
Without further ado, be sure to take a closer look at Operation Void Edge in the fresh video down below:
The Siege is a brand-new style of gameplay embracing the reality of counter-terrorist operatives across the world: intense and asymmetrical close-quarters combat between attackers and defenders. As a defender, you will have the means to transform your environment into strongholds to prevent the attackers from breaching. As an attacker, you will have many planning options to face this challenge and defuse these situations.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam, Origin, Uplay and the EGS); coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.
