Mobile Version of DEAD BY DAYLIGHT Will Be Released in April; Will Launch on Both iOS and Android

Developer Behaviour Interactive has announced that the mobile port of Dead by Daylight will launch on iOS and Android on April 16, allowing fans of the multiplayer horror production to take part in this specific game of cat and mouse on-the-go.

According to Behaviour and Chinese technology company NetEase Games — which will help the Canadian studio publish the upcoming port — the mobile version of Dead by Daylight is "a fully-fledged mobile iteration to the fan-favorite asymmetrical multiplayer horror game from Behaviour Interactive."

In the game, "five players jump into a match where one plays as a crazed killer and must hunt four survivors on a terrifying map. Players take on the role of both killer and survivors in a deadly game of hide and seek. Mobile will be available on the App Store and Google Play Store," the studios added.

Considering that Dead by Daylight Mobile will reportedly be fully optimised and offer the same gameplay and modes that fans can already enjoy in the base game, the fast-approaching iOS and Android edition of the title may be an interesting alternative, especially if features the promised "new controls and experience carefully crafted for smartphones and tablets."

Due to the ongoing pandemic, some Asian territories will receive Dead by Daylight Mobile at a later date.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed. Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey. The Survivors' goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer - something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.

Dead by Daylight is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam); coming to Android and iOS on April 16, 2020.
