SAINTS ROW: THE THIRD - REMASTERED Is Officially Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC

Publisher Deep Silver has finally confirmed that Volition's Saints Row: The Third - Remastered is a real thing, officially coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (seemingly only via the Epic Games Store) on the 22nd of May. Unfortunately, it seems that the new remaster won't be released on Nintendo Switch anytime soon.

Although it's bad news for fans of the hybrid console, it's worth remembering that Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package is still available for Switch, even if it doesn't feature any major graphical enhancements.

Saints Row: The Third - Remastered is being developed at Sperasoft, an international game developer that had previously helped the team at Volition bring their divisive Saints Row spin-off Agents of Mayhem to life.

Quite interestingly, the upcoming remaster was first revealed by the one and only ESRB just two days ago.

According to Deep Silver, "the remaster has transformed Steelport's environments, character models and visual effects, along with injecting enhanced graphics and incorporating a new lighting engine to really make the streets of the beloved city shine." The new version of The Third will be priced at $39.99.
