Upcoming CHERNOBYLITE "Mega Patch" Will Add Ghost-Infested Pripyat Center and New Character
Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
Fans of The Farm 51's Chernobylite should definitely keep an eye on the survival game's fast-approaching "mega patch" — titled Web of Lies — which will introduce not only a brand-new character, but also the so-called Pripyat Center. As a friendly reminder, the Early Access version of Chernobylite is priced at $29.99.
Although The Farm 51 has not confirmed the long-awaited update's release date yet, the Gliwice-based game developer has already revealed plenty of concrete details on the Web of Lies patch. First and foremost, "Pripyat Center is coming to Chernobylite - it’s a bigger area that also includes Lenin Square."
Furthermore, the content drop will feature a new mission — A Voice in the Woods — focused on a debuting character, Olga. According to the studio, she's "a young woman living in a settlement deep in Red Forest and before joining [Chernobylite protagonist] Igor’s cause she’ll need his help with a delicate mission."
A Voice in the Woods' description reads as follows: "Her boyfriend, Kostya, is also a young stalker who went missing some time ago. And that can be no coincidence that it happened when NAR soldiers showed up precisely where he was supposed to look for supplies. So, Igor will have to decide about Olga & Kostya’s fate and you just have to know that it won’t be an easy mission."
Chernobylite is not the only major video game The Farm 51 is currently working on, as the Polish company is also developing World War 3, which is reportedly set to leave Early Access at some point in Q2 2020.
Without further ado, take a closer look at the pulse-pounding gameplay trailer for Chernobylite — giving us our best look yet at the aforementioned Pripyat Center (and also Lenin Square) — down below:
Chernobylite is a science-fiction survival horror experience, mixing the free exploration of its disturbing world with challenging combat, unique crafting, and non-linear storytelling.
