11 bit studios' FROSTPUNK: PROJECT TVADGYCGJR Will Seemingly Make Its Debut This Summer
It looks like the launch date for the long-awaited Frostpunk: Project TVADGYCGJR — the critically acclaimed real-time strategy game's third big expansion — has been revealed by its Steam page, pointing towards the 30th of July. That date falls on a Thursday, a day of the week when games and major DLC are often released.
Considering that the 11 bit studios–developed Project TVADGYCGJR is supposed to make its debut at some point this year, chances are that July 30 is the real launch date for the award-winning game's last expansion.
Until we get an official announcement, it's probably best to take this new information with a grain of salt.
As a reminder, the Frostpunk: The Last Autumn DLC was released on PC earlier this year, sitting at a perfectly fine 79% score on Metacritic. The Last Autumn is also coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Project TVADGYCGJR and the console version of The Last Autumn are not the only projects set in the cold Frostpunk universe currently in the works, as a mobile port of the base game was confirmed in February.
The Last Autumn is a turning point in the Frostpunk universe. Revealing the restless events of Site 113 and its struggle to construct the generator before the freezing veil shrouds the Earth, this prequel expansion broadens the Frostpunk universe by introducing a new environment, new Books of Laws and unique technologies, and presents a range of new buildings — all of which let you shape society and the city in unconventional ways. Leading a group of engineers working on one of the world’s greatest technological marvels - a Generator - will require adapting your strategy to extraordinary situations. As the leader of Site 113, hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. For Queen and Country!
Frostpunk: The Last Autumn is currently available on PC (via Steam and GOG).
