Kool2Play has shared a new trailer for Uragun, a top-down shooter that allows players to take control of a "mech unit challenged with annihilating swarms of smart AI bots flooding the streets of familiar cities" such as Barcelona, New York and Warsaw. Uragun is set to launch on Steam as an Early Access title in 2020, with its PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch ports releasing some point in the future.
At its core, Uragun is a hardcore "top-down shooter with a pinch of tactical combat" in the same vein as Helldivers, Shadowgrounds, and Ruiner. According to the game's developer (and publisher), players will face a large, "varied enemy roster — each bot will utilize different tactics corresponding to its abilities and armaments, as well as dynamically modify its behavior in response to environmental conditions."
Although the aforementioned video focuses mostly on the playable mech's tools of infinite destruction, it also does a pretty job spotlighting some of the special skills and abilities of the towering machine, including:
Hammerjump: "Rise into the air, and then hit the ground with all your might, crushing everyone who failed to escape."
Minefield: "Scatter the mines around your position and watch the horde of AI machines fall apart into pieces."
Railgun: "A powerful, focused laser beam that will dissolve any armor that comes in direct contact with it, leaving only sheet metal remains."
Orbital Strike: "Use the help of an orbital station and summon a deadly rocket raid wherever you need it."
Killing Dash: "Escape for a while from the battlefield and take an opportunity to... destroy everyone who stands in your way."
Without further ado, take a look at Kool2Play's Uragun in the action-packed gameplay trailer down below:
Uragun is a hardcore top-down shooter with a pinch of tactical combat. The player must outsmart and outshoot hostile swarms of AI-controlled machines. The levels’ designs reflect the layouts of various real-life major cities from across the world. The game allows players to take control of a heavily armed mech suit tasked with eliminating waves upon waves of super smart AI bots swarming the streets of Barcelona, New York, Warsaw and more.
Uragun is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam).
