STAR WARS JEDI: FALLEN ORDER, FIFA and MADDEN NFL Games Are Coming to Google Stadia
Electronic Arts and Google has announced a strategic partnership to launch five EA-published video games on the game-streaming service, starting with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which will launch on Stadia at some point this year. As a reminder, Respawn's title was released for PS4, Xbox One and PC last November.
The team at Google has already confirmed that two new FIFA and Madden NFL games will be available on Stadia this winter, with (at least) one yet-to-be-revealed project coming to the gaming platform in 2021.
“Cloud is opening up exciting new possibilities for play,” Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, said in a press release. “In partnering with Google Stadia, we have an opportunity to deliver some creative and innovative game experiences on an exciting new platform.”
"We’re thrilled to see some of Electronic Arts’ biggest hits come to the Stadia," Phil Harrison, GM and VP at Google, added. "I can't wait to play EA SPORTS FIFA, Madden NFL, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on my favorite screens instantly with the simple click of a button."
Considering that EA has yet to release a single new game on the struggling cloud-based service, it's good to know that fans of the platform will finally be able to play at least two sports games in the foreseeable future.
