Publisher Perfect World Entertainment has released an intense launch trailer for Gunfire Games' Swamps of Corsus — Remnant: From the Ashes' biggest expansion to date — as the major content drop is now available on PC, exclusively via Steam. The DLC is priced at $9.99, but those who have not purchased the base game yet should take a closer look at a new bundle containing Remnant and Swamps of Corsus that costs $44.99
According to the studio, Corsus delivers a swarm of new content, "including powerful weapons and mods, challenging dungeons, epic bosses, new enemies" and "a vast arsenal of powerful gear to collect."
Most importantly, Corsus introduces a fresh rogue-like mode, titled Survival. Its rules are relatively simple: "players fight for their lives as they begin their journey with nothing but a pistol, some scrap and the skin on their back." Reportedly, "those brave enough will travel randomly through corrupted World Stones to different biomes, scrap-up gear, fight insanely-difficult bosses and test their endurance."
At it's core, Remnant: From the Ashes is a Souls-like production featuring some looter shooter-esque mechanics. The title was released in August 2019 and is currently sitting at a fine 77% score on Metacritic.

The world has been thrown into chaos by an ancient evil from another dimension. As one of the last remnants of humanity, you must set out alone or alongside up to two other survivors to face down hordes of deadly enemies to try to carve a foothold, rebuild, and retake what was lost.
Remnant: From the Ashes is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam).
