It may be hard to believe, but Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II will finally make its long-delayed debut next month, allowing all PlayStation 4 players to embark on a dangerous journey in the zombiefied United States with Joel and Ellie. That's absolutely right, the duo's next adventure will begin on June 19, 2020.
To make the wait a little bit easier, the team at Naughty Dog has launched a development diary series that will put the spotlight on the different features of the upcoming project and the talented people behind it.
"The Last of Us Part II is by far the largest and most ambitious game we’ve ever made and there will be so much for you to dig into when it arrives on 19th June," Naughty Dog's Scott Lowe said on the PS Blog. "Leading up to launch, we’re releasing a brand new series of videos breaking down key aspects of the game. Each video will feature interviews with members of our team as we discuss the design, technology, and ideas that have shaped the development of our game over the last six years."
Although the first entry is focused solely on The Last of Us Part II story (so you should skip it if you're still trying to avoid spoilers), the Inside the Gameplay video will be released next Wednesday, Inside the Details on the 27th of May, Inside the World on the 3rd of June, with the title itself hitting stores on the 19th of June.
Wait no more, and be sure to learn a whole lot more about the plot of The Last of Us Part II down below:
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors.
The Last of Us Part II is coming to PlayStation 4 on June 19, 2020.
