ASSASSIN'S CREED VALHALLA Is Ubisoft's Most Viewed Trailer; Studio Has 11 10-Million Sellers This Generation

In a call with investors today, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that the recent announcement trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla has been watched over 200 million times, officially making it the most-viewed trailer in Ubisoft's history. The action-packed cinematic — created at Digic Pictures — debuted on April 30.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, Ubisoft has plenty of reasons to look into the future with hope, as Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is already shaping up to be a major hit, with Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods & Monsters, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Quarantine and a yet-to-be revealed project (a new Far Cry) launching this fiscal year.

Due to the difficult global situation, one of these titles may be delayed to FY2022, but at least four of them will arrive by March 2021. Also, three of these games will release sometime between October and December.

During this (eight) generation of consoles — which technically started in November 2013 (sorry, Wii U) — 11 Ubisoft-developed video games have managed to sell more than 10 million copies worldwide: Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Rainbow Six Siege, Ghost Recon Wildlands, The Division, The Division 2, Watch Dogs, Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry 4, and finally Far Cry 5.

As a reminder, the company will share new details on its future titles at the Ubisoft Forward event on July 12.

Become a legendary Viking warrior raised on tales of battle and glory. Raid your enemies, grow your settlement, and build your political power in the quest to earn a place among the gods in Valhalla. Advanced RPG mechanics allow you to shape the growth of your character and influence the world around you. With every choice you make, from political alliances and combat strategy to dialogue and gear progression, you will carve your own path to glory.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Google Stadia and PC (via Uplay and the EGS) this holiday season.
