CYBERPUNK 2077 Will Arrive on Google Stadia After Its Initial Launch in September, CD Projekt Confirms
It looks like CD Projekt is currently focusing mostly on polishing the PC and console versions of the long-delayed Cyberpunk 2077, as its dedicated Google Stadia port won't be available on the game's launch of the 17th of September. As a reminder, the title will come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.
According to the new press release, the game "will be released on 17 September 2020 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. By the end of the year the game will also make its debut on Google Stadia."
With Cyberpunk 2077 finally launching in September, it's safe to say that the Warsaw-based studio will share new details on the long-awaited sandbox in the coming months. Actually, the team at CD Projekt is planning to showcase their opus magnum relatively soon, on June 25, during the special Night City Wire live event.
Although said presentation was supposed to take place this Thursday, it was recently delayed to honour the death of George Floyd, and will now begin only two days after the fast-approaching New Game+ Expo.
Quite interestingly, CD Projekt has already confrimed that Cyberpunk 2077 will get at least two major story expansions — in the same vein as 2015's The Witcher III: Wild Hunt — and also a full-blown online mode.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you. Become a cyberpunk, an urban mercenary equipped with cybernetic enhancements and build your legend on the streets of Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam, GOG and the EGS) on the 17th of September; will arrive on Google Stadia before the end of the year.
