Aloy Embarks on Next-Gen Adventure in Breathtaking HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST Reveal Trailer

The long-rumoured sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn has finally been announced, re-introducing players to the blooming (yet post-apocalyptic) world populated by primal tribes and enormous dinosaur-like robots.

In Horizon Forbidden West, Aloy will return as the main protagonist to explore a brand-new region as she "moves west to a far-future America to brave a majestic, but dangerous frontier where she’ll face awe-inspiring machines and mysterious new threats." Although we know that Horizon Forbidden West is a full-blown PlayStation 5–exclusive project, Sony has not shared any concrete details on its release date yet.

Unlike the award-winning first entry, Horizon Forbidden West will feature plenty of fallen urban areas, with a completely ruined San Francisco seemingly playing a key role in the long-awaited sequel's main storyline.

As a friendly reminder, Guerrilla Games — the renowned makers of the Horizon and Killzone game series — is also working on a PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn, which will make its debut at some point this summer.

Without further ado, marvel at the next-gen beauty of Guerrilla Games' first sequel since 2009's Killzone 2 in Horizon Forbidden West's beautiful announcement trailer, official key art, and first screenshots down below:
