The team at Atomic Wolf has some pretty sweet news for PC players, as the Polish studio's first major game — interactive comic book Liberated — is officially coming to PC (via Steam and GOG) at some point in July.
As a reminder, Liberated arrived on Nintendo Switch earlier this month, and while the title has already found its fans, its current "critics" score on Metacritic (59%) suggests that its grim story and rather simple gameplay mechanics (at its core, Liberated is a platformer game with many cutsenes) are not for everyone.
According to Atomic Wolf, the PC port will introduce some much-needed improvements, including full English voice-over, high-res textures, enhanced lighting, and support for keyboard, mouse, and gamepads.
Thankfully, a free upgrade for the already existing Switch version will be available shortly after the PC launch, allowing players to enjoy the new voice acting while destroying an authoritarian regime one step at a time.
During the recent Guerilla Collective and Future Games Show livestreams, Atomic Wolf shared two never-before-seen gameplay trailers for the fast-approaching PC edition of Liberated, spotlighting some of its all-new features. Without further ado, take a closer look at the black and white world of Liberated down below:
Experience the digital comic revolution, as hand-drawn comic book storytelling seamlessly transitions into fully playable gameplay as you fight for what’s right using stealth, wits, and firepower! Leap into the frame of a graphic novel, where classic motion comic storytelling transitions into fully playable action sections in a story about technological surveillance squeezing society’s freedom away.
Liberated is currently available for Nintendo Switch; coming to PC (via Steam and GOG) in July; will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a later date.
