All in! Games has been a pretty busy publisher lately, as the Cracow-based company recently released yet another trailer, this time shining a light on PolyAmorous' post-apocalyptic adventure Paradise Lost.
Said gameplay trailer focuses on an underground world of bomb shelters — the main setting of Paradise Lost. In the game's universe, Germany actually "won" World War II after firebombing the densely populated cities of its enemies, completely ruining countless towns and turning Europe into a huge nuclear wasteland.
As a young boy, the player will try to uncover the mysteries of an abandoned bunker that was supposed to help its inhabitants survive the apocalypse. According to the studio, Paradise Lost won't be a straightforward walking simulator — although its core systems will be relatively simple — giving gamers a chance to freely explore the location, which will reportedly combine elements of retro-futurism and Slavic-pagan aesthetic.
All in! Games has also released a limited-time demo for Paradise Lost, allowing players to learn more about the inhabitants of the bunker "by examining items they left behind and to start forming theories as to what was happening the last time people were in the Nazi complex. By choosing one path or another, you’ll discover different memories left behind." Be swift, as the demo won't be available after June 22.
Without further ado, take a closer look at the aforementioned Paradise Lost gameplay trailer — and also a never-before-seen developer commentary video for the ambitious next-gen production — down below:
Paradise Lost is a deeply engaging story-driven adventure game set in a world where World War II never ended. To advance the story, players must explore and uncover the mysteries of an abandoned bunker where dark secrets are held. As a child in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, players piece together the history of the bunker and navigate through its diverse interior. Players' choices influence how the story unfolds, providing a different narrative for every play through. The game features a truly unique twist on the post-apo genre, with its setting characterized by a mixture of technology and Slavic-pagan aesthetic, against a background of profound human emotions.
Paradise Lost is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC (via Steam).
