CRYSIS REMASTERED Has Been Delayed; New Screenshots From Switch Port Have Been Released
Crytek has some bad news for all fans of the first Crysis, as the classic first-person shooter's remaster has been delayed and will no longer release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC this summer.
According to the publisher, your passion for "the Crysis franchise deserves an undeniably high-quality game, and we are committed to delivering just that. To ensure that we meet that commitment, we will need to delay the launch date [...] and trailer premiere by a few weeks." That's right, the release of the title's first trailer has also been pushed back (but you can still watch its leaked version at this link).
Unfortunately, the first major Crysis game since 2013's Crysis 3 has not been given a new release date, but it sounds like the action-packed title is not too far off and will make its long-awaited debut sometime this fall.
Considering that many players have had a rather negative reaction to the footage accidentally shared by the one and only Microsoft Store team yesterday, the fact that Crytek and developer Saber Interactive — the studio responsible for World War Z and the recent Switch port of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt — are willing to take their time and polish Crysis Remastered is definitely a nice change of pace in the post-Fallout 76 era.
To make the wait a little bit easier, Nintendo has unveiled four all-new screenshots from the Switch edition of Crysis Remastered — which is currently priced at $45.00 — so be sure to check them out down below:
