Team 17 Announces WORMS RUMBLE; 2.5D Battle Royale Is Coming to PC, PS4 and PS5 in 2020

British developer and publisher Team17 has announced a brand-new entry in its most popular game series, as Worms Rumble will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (only via Steam) at some point this year.
According to Team17, the newly revealed video game is Worms like "you’ve never played it before, with intense, real-time, arena-based 32 player cross-platform combat. Get ready to rumble in Deathmatch or Last Worm Standing modes where you’re only ever a Holy Hand Grenade away from death!"
That's right, Worms Rumble is a new battle royale game — without any turn-based combat — with players fighting for survival in real time. Thankfully, the title won't abandon the franchise's glorious heritage, and fans will still be able to use the Bazooka, Shotgun and Holy Hand-grenade among other classic weapons.
Unlike previous Worms games, the upcoming project puts a big emphasis on customisation, allowing you to "unlock and purchase weapon skins, outfits, accessories, and emotes" via XP and in-game currency.
