Flying Wild Hog's SHADOW WARRIOR 3 Steps Into the Spotlight in Bloody Good Reveal Trailer

Publisher Devolver Digital and game developer Flying Wild Hog have officially announced the third entry in the rebooted Shadow Warrior franchise, as the threequel will arrive on PC (via Steam) sometime next year.

According to the publisher, Shadow Warrior 3 launches the series to the next level "with a seamless blend of fast-paced gunplay, razor-sharp melee combat, and a spectacular free-running movement system."

Shadow Warrior 3 is set in Japan, allowing the player to explore "a mythic Asian land infused with the magic and technology of ancient samurai, now overrun by the demonic yokai from Japanese folklore." Considering that the brand-new instalment will introduce a Just Cause–like grappling hook, Shadow Warrior 3 will provide gamers with an unprecedented degree of freedom and control, making various battles with the demon's goons much more strategic and almost Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice–esque.

As a friendly reminder, Flying Wild Hog's second new game could very well be unveiled this year as well.

With Shadow Warrior 3 no longer being a mystery, the studios will share more information about the first-person shooter during the upcoming Developer Direct show that will take place on Saturday at 12PM PST.

To learn more about the dangerous adventures of fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and his "former employer turned nemesis turned sidekick" Orochi Zilla, be sure to take a look at the pulse-pounding Shadow Warrior 3 announcement trailer and a bunch of never-before-seen screenshots down below:
