Slavic Magic's City Builder MANOR LORDS Has Been Announced With Action-Packed Trailer
Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
Category: Real-Time Strategy Games
Created by solo developer Slavic Magic, Manor Lords is a brand-new real-time strategy game that will allow all fans of the so-called "city builder" genre to fulfil their dreams and become a lord of a medieval town.
According to the Polish artist, Manor Lords is coming to PC (via Steam) sometime this fall, combining "deep, organic and realistic city building with large scale, tactical battles." To bring this ambitious vision to life, the developer is building the fast-approaching project with Epic Games' popular Unreal Engine 4. Just like Warhorse Studios' Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Manor Lords is inspired by Europe's medieval period.
Although Slavic Magic's take on SimCity has been in the works for more than three years, it will first launch in Early Access before hitting stores as a finished product (both content and gameplay-wise) in 2021/2022.
Considering that Manor Lords is being created by one person — with some help from his friends — the fact that it looks this good is nothing short of downright amazing — and what's even better, Axiom Verge, Stardew Valley, and Minecraft (among many others) have proven that one passionate artist can successfully develop a critically acclaimed — and sometimes even a cult-classic — game under the right circumstances.
