Robot Army of King Louis XVI Arrives in Announcement Trailer for Spiders' STEELRISING

As promised, French publisher Nacon announced today an all-new video game that is being developed at Spiders, the award-winning studio responsible for Mars: War Logs, Bound By Flame, and last year's GreedFall.

Just like every single Spiders-created video game ever made, Steelrising is a completely original project that has nothing to do with any established IP. In Steelrising, players will assume control of Aegis — a feminine humanoid robot — and embark on a pulse-pounding adventure to put an end to King Louis XVI's reign.

Throwing historical accuracy out the window, Steelrising's world is a unique mixture of real-world events and completely outlandish ideas (even from today's perspective). In the newly revealed RPG, the last king of France and his wife — Marie Antoinette — are ruling Paris not only with an iron fist, but also a robot army.

Steelrising is a full-blown next-gen game. Although we know that it's coming to PC, Nacom has not revealed any details on its console port yet (but it's safe to say the title will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X).
