Nacon Reveals TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED SOLAR CROWN; Made by TT ISLE OF MAN - RIDE ON THE EDGE 2 Team

After months of waiting, Nacon (formerly Bigben Interactive) has finally announced Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, an all-new entry in the high-octane series that is being created at Paris-based studio KT Racing.
According to the publisher, the newly revealed project "retains the DNA of the series, which is based on a love of beautiful cars and the joy of driving around a luxurious island world recreated at 1:1 scale."
When it comes to the titular Solar Crown, it's a "competition with mysterious stakes" that allows players to "elevate their character's status within the community." Unfortunately, that's everything we know about the long-awaited sequel to 2011's Test Drive Unlimited 2 — developed at Eden Games — for the time being.
For those unfamiliar with the Test Drive Unlimited drama, Eden Games was shut down by parent company Atari after the mediocre sales performance of Test Drive Unlimited 2. Thankfully, Nacon confirmed in 2016 that it had acquired the Test Drive brand from Atari and started mapping out a plan to revive the franchise.
While we're patiently waiting for more details on KT Racing's take on the Test Drive Unlimited series, be sure to take a closer look at the upcoming racing game's short (but sweet) announcement trailer down below:
