The team at Devolver Digital kicked off its Devolver Digital show with a bloody trailer for Shadow Warrior 3, allowing us to take a closer look at the Flying Wild Hog–developed title's Mirror's Edge–like game mechanics.
That's right, One More Level's Ghostrunner is not the only new Polish game inspired by DICE's first-person platformer. It turns out that Shadow Warrior 3 will feature more immersive ways to go from one location to another, thanks to a revamped movement system and the introduction of a Just Cause–like grappling hook.
With this deadly combination, our hero — fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang — will be able to kill enemies without skipping a beat — and fans of DOOM will surely appreciate the Warsaw-based studio's new ideas.
Although both Shadow Warrior and its sequel are available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, neither Devolver Digital nor Flying Wild Hog have confirmed any plans to produce a console version of the shooting extravaganza, with Shadow Warrior 3 currently coming exclusively to PC (via Steam) at some point next year.
To learn more about the colourful world of Shadow Warrior 3 and its new parkour-esque mechanics, take a closer look at the game's first gameplay trailer and a bunch of never-before-seen screenshots down below:
Fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and his former employer turned nemesis turned sidekick Orochi Zilla embark on an improbable mission to recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison. Armed with a punishing mix of blades and bullets, Lo Wang must traverse uncharted parts of the world to track down the dark beast and push the apocalypse back yet again.
Shadow Warrior 3 is coming to PC (via Steam) in 2021.
