Serious Sam 4 — previously known as Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass — finally launches on Google Stadia and PC sometime in August, so waste no time and take a closer look at the shooter's latest gameplay trailer now.
That's right, the fourth numbered entry in the long-running Serious Sam series will be released next month, allowing players to kill various monsters — including the iconic Headless Kamikaze, Kleer, and Scrapjack — on their own or smash through the pulse-pounding campaign with friends in 4-player online co-op mode.
When it comes to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, they will make their debut "after its period of exclusivity is over with Stadia" — sadly, the title's PS4 and XBO ports won't arrive until 2021 at the earliest.
According to publisher Devolver Digital, the fast-approaching sequel to 2011's Serious Sam 3: BFE revamps the classic formula by "putting an unstoppable arsenal up against an unimaginable number of enemies that requires players to circle-strafe and backpedal-blast their way out of impossible situations."
Without further ado, check out the action-packed gameplay trailer for Croteam's Serious Sam 4 down below:
Humanity is under siege as the full force of Mental’s hordes spread across the world, ravaging what remains of a broken and beaten civilization. The last remaining resistance to the invasion is the Earth Defense Force led by Sam “Serious” Stone and his heavily-armed squad of misfit commandos.
Serious Sam 4 is coming to Google Stadia and PC (via Steam) in August; will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a later date.
