During today's Ubisoft Forward digital conference, the French publisher confirmed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will launch on the 17th of November — only two days before Cyberpunk 2077 makes its debut.
To make the wait a little bit easier, Ubisoft released over 30 minutes of never-before-seen gameplay footage, putting the spotlight on the huge sandbox's core features, including Middle-earth: Shadow of War–esque siege missions, exploration of colourful locations and settlements, and solving simple environmental puzzles.
That's not all, as the publisher also shared an action-packed gameplay overview trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla that focuses mostly on the beasts and opponents the player will encounter during their journey (quite interestingly, the cross-gen project reportedly introduces "a greater variety of enemies than ever before") and Ubisoft's long-awaited attempt at returning to the franchise's more stealth-oriented roots.
When it comes to the aforementioned footage, the fact that the upcoming sequel is set in the Middle Ages only highlights its notable similarities with The Witcher III: Wild Hunt and other modern role-playing games.
To learn more about Assassin's Creed Valhalla's "assaults, boss fights, flyting, drinking contests, world exploration, and more," be sure to take a closer look at a bunch of officially released videos down below:
