Netflix's Anime Series Inspired by Capcom's DRAGON'S DOGMA Will Arrive on September 17, 2020

Fans of the award-winning Dragon's Dogma franchise should be happy to hear that the long-awaited anime based on the Hideaki Itsuno-created game series is officially set to debut on Netflix on September 17, 2020.

According to the American streaming giant, Dragon's Dogma follows the story of Ethan, a lone hero who "sets out to vanquish the Dragon that took his heart, but with every demon he battles, the more he loses his humanity." Quite interestingly, his inner demons will represent the seven deadly sins of mankind.

Although we still know next to nothing about Netflix's fast-approaching take on 2012's Dragon's Dogma, it's been announced that the anime is being created by the team at Sublimation (009 Re:Cyborg, Walking Meat).

It's worth remembering that Dragon's Dogma is not the only big anime show inspired by a popular Japanese game series currently in the works at Netflix, as the studio is also making the fourth season of Castlevania

While we're patiently waiting for more details on the TV series based on Capcom's action-packed RPG — which was revealed in March 2019 — check out the first poster for Netflix's Dragon's Dogma down below:
