DIRT 5: Codemasters Shares Official

British developer and publisher Codemasters has unveiled a never-before-seen trailer for DiRT 5, putting the spotlight on the cross-gen racing game's exotic locations, variety of off-road machines, and exciting modes.

When it comes to the aforementioned in-game locations, the fifth numbered entry in the DiRT series will give you a chance to race on over 70+ meticulously designed routes across 10 different global locations, including Nepal, Arizona, Roosevelt Island, Norway, China, Morocco, Greece, Italy, South Africa, and Brazil.

Codemasters has also confirmed that DiRT 5 will feature nine off-road modes that will be available in offline play: Ultra Cross, Rally Raid, Landrush, Ice Breaker, Stampede, Path Finder, Sprint, Gymkhana, and Time Trial.

Furthermore, the award-winning F1 2020 studio has officially announced that the fast-approaching video game will include "a free upgrade option for PlayStation 4 players of DiRT 5, if and when you make the switch to PlayStation 5. As with the Smart Delivery system for Xbox Series X, if you have DiRT 5 on PlayStation 4, either in digital or physical form, you get the game on PlayStation 5, free of charge!"

That's not all, as Codemasters recently unveiled the official DiRT 5 box art, and you can check it out — alongside the high-octane "features" trailer for the MotorStorm team's next big thing — down below:

DIRT 5 is the boldest off-road racing experience created by Codemasters. Blaze a trail on routes across the world, covering gravel, ice, snow and sand, with a roster of cars ranging from rally icons to trucks, to GT heroes. With a star-studded Career, four-player split-screen, innovative online modes, livery editor and more new features, DIRT 5 is the next generation of extreme racing.

DiRT 5 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam) on October 9, 2020; will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X later this year; will arrive on Google Stadia in 2021.
