The Project Genesis team has some fantastic news for all fans of team-based space shooters, as you will have a chance to get your own Steam Early Access key by watching one of many Project Genesis Twitch streams.
That's right, Project Genesis keys are given out via Twitch, and the only thing you need to do to obtain one is watching your favourite streamer play the title for a minimum of 60 minutes when they have drops enabled.
"We’re still in the very early stages of development." Producer Terry Hammer explained. "But, if you’re looking for a chance to play an indie game that aspires to bring two types of players together, space jockeys and boots on the ground strike teams, Project Genesis might be just what you’re looking for."
"Dropping Steam keys via Twitch is only the first step for us," Hammer added. "Twitch allows us to extend the gameplay experience to streaming audiences and add a ton of extra value for streamers who are interested in growing with us." Be swift, as the giveaway will come to an end of August 31, 2020.
Seattle-based developer 8 Circuit Studios has also confirmed that the action-packed shooter's final version will make its debut later this year, with its PlayStation and Xbox ports launching at some point in the future.
Those who have already joined the Project Genesis fun should be happy to hear that this spiritual successor to Star Wars: Battlefront II will receive a huge update — Enceladus — later today, introducing a new game mode and over 30 deadly weapons. It is a time of unprecedented change. Discovered in the 21st century, the ancient technology of a lost civilization has been recreated: gravitational warp. With this new capability, the three great human achievements (space travel, genetic advances, and artificial intelligence) changed our species forever. AI are sent into the far reaches of space to prepare the local galaxy for colonization.
Project Genesis is currently available on Steam Early Access.
