British developer Media Molecule has some fantastic news for all fans of Dreams — which remains one of the best-reviewed video games of 2020 — as the PlayStation 4–exclusive title's VR edition is available now.
"It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for – VR has come to Dreams," the studio said. "What awaits you in this update? Well, alongside new playable content, kits and How Tos, there’s a whole bunch of features and iterations to get you well on the road to creating your [...] VR experiences in Dreams!"
According to the team at Media Molecule, Dreams VR allows players to bring their very own dreams to life like never before, thanks to a bunch of never-before-seen features that make the whole process a lot easier and more intuitive — as the newly released VR version of Dreams even includes a special mode that gives you a chance to "control what happens when frame rate drops below our performance standards."
Although Dreams is far less "in your face" than some other PS4 exclusives that were released this year — such as Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Last of Us Part II, and Ghost of Tsushima — fans of more unique experiences should give it a fair shot, as the title is currently sitting at a fantastic 89% score on Metacritic.
Considering that the studio is not planning to abandon its wildest Dreams anytime soon, it's safe to say that the title's PS5 port — which will launch via backwards compatibility — will push the boundaries even further.
