Master Chief Stands Tall on the Breathtaking Cover Art for 343 Industries' HALO INFINITE

After months of waiting, 343 Industries' all-new sequel to 2015's Halo 5: Guardians will finally step into the spotlight tomorrow, during the long-awaited Xbox Games Showcase digital show that will start at 9AM PT.

To make the wait less painful, Microsoft has released the official Halo Infinite cover art that features the one and only Master Chief facing an unknown threat (although the reflection in his helmet visor suggests it's Atriox of The Banished). The newly revealed art also basically confirms that the main hero's all-new toy — the grappling hook attached to his forearm — will play a pivotal role in enhancing the gameplay experience.

Fans of the series have probably already noticed a good handful of similarities between the Halo Infinite art and the classic Halo: Combat Evolved cover, which indicates that the franchise is getting back to the basics.

It's worth remembering that Halo Infinite is a cross-gen title, headed not only to Xbox One, but also PC and Xbox Series X. As a reminder, Microsoft is not planning to release any major next-gen games anytime soon.
