Fan-Favorite Adventure Game Inspired by Scandinavian Folklore RÖKI Receives Accolades Trailer

United Label — CI Games' publishing arm — has released a beautiful accolades trailer for Röki, Cambridge-based game developer Polygon Treehouse's new action-adventure game inspired by Scandinavian folklore.

Although critics have seemingly not fallen in love with Röki yet — as the title is sitting at a fine 73% score on Metacritic — its user score is a different story (88%). Röki has also received very positive reviews on Steam.

Thanks to its non-violent gameplay and universal themes, Polygon's game can be enjoyed by all players, no matter the age. In Röki, gamers embark on a touching journey set in a rich, "beguiling world of wintry, Scandinavian folklore; filled with detail and brought to life by Röki's signature graphical style."

As a reminder, CI Games has only recently become a full-blown publisher, and Röki is the very first United Label-produced video game. When it comes to the Polish development team, they are focusing on two big titles: Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 — coming in 2020 — and the long-delayed Lords of the Fallen 2.

It's worth remembering that Röki will arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch at some point in the future. While we're waiting for its console port's release date, check out the beloved game's accolades trailer down below:

Röki is an adventure game inspired by Scandinavian folklore - a dark contemporary fairy tale underpinned by a touching narrative, an alluring art style, ancient puzzles and atmospheric exploration. Join Tove on a fantastical journey to save her family; one that takes her deep into a hidden, long forgotten world of folklore, filled with strange locations and even stranger creatures. Explore the ancient wilderness, solve its mysteries, and save your family in this modern adventure game for all.

Röki is currently available on PC (via Steam and GOG); coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch at a later date.
