Bandai Nacmo has shared a never-before-seen trailer for Slightly Mad Studios' Project CARS 3 — which will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 28 — asking a very important question: what drives you?
According to the renowned Shift 2: Unleashed team, the fast-approaching game will be the most accessible entry in the series' history catering to all drivers no matter their skill level. "Project CARS 3 is both new and traditional, if I can call it that—the details, handling, the motorsport and the freedom of choice, the weather and so on, that’s what our long term fans want and that’s all there — though we’ve gone in and improved on all of that," Principal Physics Programmer David Kirk said. "New this time around is customisation for cars and drivers, and of course upgrades which is really an exciting addition. We’ve also added a whole layer to the game that introduces weekend warrior racing on road circuits and other options designed to get a new audience into sim racing in a way that doesn’t overwhelm them."
Quite interestingly, 2020 is shaping up to be a truly great year for all fans of more realistic racing games, as Slightly Mad Studios' next big thing and Codemasters' DiRT 5 — and possibly even the newly announced Forza Motorsport 7 sequel and Gran Turismo 7 — will make their debut in the coming weeks — and it's worth remembering that the recently released F1 2020 remains on of the best-reviewed games of the year.
Although Project CARS 3 will arrive later this month, Bandai Namco still hasn't specified PC platforms — but it's safe to say that the high-octane title is coming to Steam (like every single Project CARS game ever made).
