Brand-New FAR CRY 6 GIF Offers Our Best Look Yet at Adorable Animal Companion Chorizo

Fans of Far Cry 5's Boomer the Dog, Cheeseburger the Bear, and Peaches the Mountain Lion should be more than happy to hear that animal companions will return in the sixth numbered entry in Ubisoft's game series.
Althought story details are being kept under wraps, the publisher has confirmed that Chorizo — who might be the most adorable wiener dog ever featured in a video game — will help players deal with their enemies.
Considering that Chorizo is an (adventurous) amputee, chances are that his tiny blue wheelchair will serve the game's main protagonist Dani Rojas as a mobile ammunition depot. With Far Cry 6 having the largest open world in the franchise's history, it's safe to say that Chorizo will make looting enemies less necessary.
Unfortunately, we still know next to nothing about the core gameplay mechanics of Far Cry 6. Although the Ubisoft Toronto–developed sandbox may make an appearance during tomorrow's State of Play event, it looks like we will have to wait until next month's Ubisoft Forward to learn more about the cross-gen FPS.
Without further ado, take a closer look at the aforementioned gif starring Rojas' best friend down below:
Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, dutifully at his side. Immerse in the adrenaline-filled, chaotic world of a modern-day guerrilla revolution and burn their regime to the ground.
Far Cry 6 is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Google Stadia, and PC (via Uplay and the EGS) on February 18, 2021.
