Capcom has some pretty sweet news for all fans of 2016's Street Fighter V, as the award-winning fighting game's upcoming Season V will introduce four well-known characters: Dan, Rose, Oro, and Akira Kazama.
That's right, the main star of Capcom's once-popular Rival Schools series will make her Street Fighter V debut next summer alongside Oro, who first appeared as a playable character in Street Fighter III: New Generation. The mysterious hermit with superhuman strength won't be the only fan-favourite warrior making a return in Street Fighter V, as Dan Hibiki and Rose will also join the fun sometime this winter and spring, respectively.
Sadly, the fresh heroes aren't included with a purchase of Champion Edition. "You can, however, earn and use in-game Fight Money to obtain each of Season V’s characters for free or purchase them using real currency after they release," Social Media and Community Specialist Dan Louie told the PlayStation Blog.
What's even better, Capcom will be extending Street Fighter League to a global scale in its third season and holding a Free Trial on PS4 going on now through August 19. If you haven't given the acclaimed game a fair chance yet, both Street Fighter V and Street Fighter V: Champion Edition are currently on sale on PS Store.
To learn more about the (pretty exciting) future of the Japanese game developer's latest fighting game, take a closer look at the official Summer Update 2020 video and so-called development roadmap down below:
