Rocksteady Studios — the London–based team behind Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight — is officially developing a new Suicide Squad title starring the Last Son of Krypton.
That's right, Rocksteady's first major project since 2015's Arkham Knight is a full-blown Suicide Squad game. Although we know next to nothing about the long-awaited production, its new poster suggests that the video game version of DC's second most famous superhero team will be tasked with hunting down Kal-El.
Considering that Superman is one of the most powerful heroes in the ever-expanding DC universe, it's safe to say that Task Force X will need all the help they can get in the fight against the (seemingly rogue) god.
Back in June, Eurogamer's Tom Phillips revealed that Rocksteady was indeed working on a Suicide Squad game. What's even more interesting, WB. Games registered the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League domain two months ago, so there's a chance that this is the final name of the developer's next big thing.
Thankfully, we won't have to wait too long to learn more about Rocksteady's unique take on Task Force X, as WB. Games will reveal new details about the title during the upcoming DC FanDome event on August 22.
Without further ado, take a closer look at the first poster for Rocksteady's Suicide Squad game down below:
