MARVEL’S AVENGERS: Hulk Battles Comic-Accurate Abomination in All-New Gameplay Footage

With the release of Marvel’s Avengers just around the corner, waste no time and take a closer look at over two hours of never-before-seen gameplay footage from Crystal Dynamics's action-packed game right now.
Thanks to IGN, you can learn a whole lot more about the new game's core mechanics and futures without actually taking part in its ongoing PlayStation 4–exclusive beta — which will come to an end tomorrow.
The newly released footage is focused solely on four of the title's six playable characters, namely The Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, and Iron Man (sorry, Thor and Captain America fans). The videos do a good job showcasing the combat system, which shines brightest during The Hulk's battle with The Abomination.
Although Louis Leterrier's big-screen take on the Green Giant's greatest villain was rather unconventional, fans of Emil Blonsky — and his power-hungry alter-ego — should be happy to hear that his in-game version is surprisingly comic accurate — even though his bombastic appearance in the title seems to be a brief one.
Without further ado, take a closer look at the all-new videos starring Earth's Mightiest Heroes down below:
Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Marvel's Avengers will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia on September 4, 2020; coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X this holiday season.
