As promised, CD Projekt has revealed some all-new details on the game mechanics of Cyberpunk 2077, the main protagonist's backstories, and Refused's take on Johnny Silverhand's fictional band known as Samurai.
The first trailer gives us a closer look at the three backstories for V you will choose from at the beginning of your Cyberpunk 2077 adventure: Street Kid, Nomad, and Corpo. According to the Polish studio, "each path provides a distinct introduction to Night City and influences V’s experiences throughout the game."
The second — and also more action-packed — video is focused solely on the game's tools of destruction and gunplay. In the upcoming title, the player will have a chance to engage in direct combat in many ways, and the so-called cyberware weaponry will definitely come in handy as you deal with transhuman enemies.
Finally, the last trailer goes behind the scenes to show you how "Swedish hardcore punk band Refused musically brings the in-game chrome rock legends SAMURAI to life, and features interviews with band members and insight into the creative process behind the portrayal." For those unfamiliar with the in-game band, their leader Johnny Silverhand — played by Keanu Reeves (The Matrix, John Wick) — is one of V's closest frenemies who will help him (or her) completely destroy the city (if that's what they want to do).
While we're patiently waiting for the big debut of CD Projekt's opus magnum, take a look at the recently released trailers and never-before-seen screenshots for the long-delayed Cyberpunk 2077 down below:
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you. Become a cyberpunk, an urban mercenary equipped with cybernetic enhancements and build your legend on the streets of Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and the EGS) on November 19, 2020; coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X this holiday season; will arrive on Google Stadia before the end of the year.
