The wait is over, as Techland's Dying Light – Hellraid is hitting stores today (at least when it comes to its PC port), and if you just can't wait to play it, the Polish studio has shared an explosive launch trailer for the DLC.
Currently priced at $9,99 on Steam, Dying Light – Hellraid is a spiritual successor to Techland's unfinished role-playing game — titled, well, Hellraid — that allows players to slay some never-before-seen enemies with medieval enormous swords, axes, and hammers while exploring a ruined, demon-infested dungeon.
"Dying Light – Hellraid is much more than just a new map," the Wroclaw-based developer said. "We wanted to really shake things up by fleshing out the dark fantasy vibe of the setting, so we ditched zombies in favor of brand-new enemies. Those weapons you got used to in Harran had to go to, but don’t worry, you’ll get yourselves some new ones in Ba’al’s Tower’s torch-lit corridors and chambers."
"The DLC comes with its own progression system and as you improve your Hellraid rank, you’ll gain access to new swords, axes, and hammers. Good news is that you can also wield these [...] weapons outside of the hellish realm, as long as you pay for them with coins awarded for making runs through the dungeon. Of course, you can enjoy a co-op mode for up to 4 players," the Dying Light team added.
Although Dying Light – Hellraid has not even launched on consoles yet — the DLC is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One tomorrow at 7PM CEST — Techland has already confirmed that the long-awaited expansion will receive several free updates, with the first one — titled Lord Hector's Demise — releasing this September.
